This isn't particularly a school related question, but if you do psychology i guess this could help. So at school i'm our number 1 table tennis player. I was hanging out with friends in our main hall whilst so kids were playing table tennis. One kid got annoyed and hit the table really hard causing it to break. Everyone is in astonishment and laughing so as a joke i go put a foot on the table pretending I've defeat it or something and my friends laughed. The headmaster sees from his balcony and apparently I stamped on it and broke it so i have to put all the lunch benches (60) away for a week and no table tennis for a week. I don't no what to do, i want to punch the teacher so hard. Any Thoughts?

I understand your disappointment with how the teacher/headmaster saw and treated the situation. I understand how it feels unfair that even though you weren’t the one who broke it, was forced to take the punishment and blame for it. Although this is, violence is no answer and will ultimately make the situation worse and bring in legal action. Here’s a few examples of how to help/make the situation easier.

•Have you tried to explain the situation? If you have, have you tried using a calm, explanative tone? Also, there has to be people who witnessed it. Have you tried to asked them if they could explain the situation to the teacher/headmaster? Finally, is there cameras? If there is, could you possibly ask if the headmaster/teacher to watch the playback of the camera to prove that you wasn’t the one who broke the camera?

•if the above didn’t help, try to use coping techniques to deal with the unfair treatment of having to put the lunch benches and not being able to play table tennis. If you ever have a though about hitting the teacher, try to take a deep breath and calm down. Violence will not help.
