Czechoslovakia gave up without practically any resistance because they had no chance once they had to retreat from their fortifications and they knew that no other nation would help them. The treaty of Munich also made Hitler confident that France and Britain would not attack Germany if they invaded the rest of Czechoslovakia.

Munich Agreement was the agreement signed amid Great Britain, Germany, Italy, and France that allowed Germany to continue its annexation of Sudetenland located on the western part of Czechoslovakia. After annexing Austria, Hitler intended to annex Czechoslovakia which was having 3 million inhabitants of German origin. He took his chief of armed forces, Wilhelm Keitel, in his confidence and launched his program to capture Czechoslovakia. His program was named “Case Green”, that was a military and political strategy to take over the control of Sudetenland.
