There is a certain average amount of calorie intake that is necessary for the body to function daily. An adult woman’s body needs an average of about two thousand calories per day, while an adult male has a daily requirement of a calorie intake of about two thousand five hundred.

The estimated calorie intake per person depends on a number of factors, such as age, sex, body mass, height, gender and so on. The amount of calorie intake throughout the day is definitely not the same. The estimates are based on certain equations such as the Estimated Energy Requirements equation, using a particular height and weight against which it would be benchmarked. The reference height and weight vary among children and adolescent people as it is the growth stage for them. The average calorie intake varies between a minimum level of sixteen hundred calories which is for a sedentary lifestyle, and the highest limit in a range of calories required signifies an active lifestyle. There are several devices such as heart rate monitor, calorie measuring app and burning app that measures the amount of activity that the body engages in, and determines the level of calorie intake accordingly. Similarly, the level of calorie intake also differs from the change of seasons, availability of food resources and the environmental conditions around us.
