Do you think the theory of evolution necessarily disproves divine creation in the scopes monkey trial

No, I think the theory of evolution not necessarily disaproves divine creation. I believe that the truth of evolution was that God was directing it. God wanted to create humans and created humans as the Bible said. The monkey trial in 1925 was a debate between science and religion as the were opposed  I don't think they are opposed at all.  

The theory of evolution and the idea of the divine creation are two different explanations of the evolution of human existence. The theory of evolution is a scientific assessment of human evolution based on scientific method and evidence. The idea of the divine creation is a religious conceptualization of humankind's origins. Therefore, rather than reducing the discussion to proof or non proof, the more important issue is to understand the fact that different explanations can coexist and must be judged according to one's perspective and interpretative and evaluative abilites
