How is the industrialization in britain significant to history? ?

To add to the previous commenter’s answer, British industrialization spread around the world, increasing global development/trade and improving the standard of living worldwide. Without Britain’s influence, the industrial revolution would have taken a much different shape and probably wouldn’t’ve expanded as quickly.
