that's an great question to ask. i think end wars and end starvation (millions of people die form starvation a day) i think war because people are fighting and die when war breaks out.   a lot solders and civilians both suffer. the civilians sometime get caught by enemies and be hostage and die. the solders dies from defending a country. i know my uncle died that way.

so they can differentiate themselves from others as they saw themselves as the superior race. the star was basically a symbol that meant you are a less of a person than i am because of my race. the star was also degrading for those who had to wear it because they were aware of this and the nazis used the notion to make them feel less like a person.
