Why was it called the roaring 20's

Because of the exuberant, freewheeling popular culture of the decade.

The Roaring Twenties (also called the Jazz Age,etc.) were a time when people were allowed to be free kinda. The Roaring 20's brang a time when women wore skirts, got jobs, drive automobiles, and more! People listened to the radio and loved sports.

During the 1920's, people started to do sports, get rich fast, and there was a special popular dance at the time where people did the Charleston. They also did music bands and listened to Jazz music.

Flappers are women who wore short skirt and dresses and danced and cut their hair bobbed. And wore make-up.

Also, after all this, they went wild trying to get rich fast they listened to that market thing and the balloon popped (well it was like a balloon) and all their money exploded out.
