The Civil Rights movement was and is the most important act to change the way all races and colors live today. The causes of the Civil Rights movement was Intergrationism, post-civil War Reconstruction, and Great Migration. By the time of the twentieth century, African Americans have been through the physical and slavery of Caucasians. The started the Jim Crom Laws, Which separated African Americans from Caucasians. The effects were more opportunities for African Americans, An African American well educated President, schools integrated. The civil rights movements was a start of freedom, only a few inches away. The cause of integrationism was the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments, another problem was the Ku Klux Klans. They were an organization that went around parading around the African American neighborhoods terrorizing, threating, raping, and killing African Americans. The only reason for them to act this way is because they were beginning to do things that the Caucasians were doing. They were beginning to be afraid of African Americans, and that one reason why today when you walk into a store as an African American you are already judged by the color of your skin. Some caucasians think that because you are black they have to hide their purse or move their children. It still happens today when you see white cops killing African Americans for no reason. Before the Reconstruction period, there were racial segregation-Jim Crow, disfranchisement, racial violence, and exploitation. Before the civil rights movement, African Americans had to move out of the way of Caucasians on the sidewalks or else be lynched. African Americans had to make sure their children were safe because if they look at someone’s daughter on accident they would be found in the middle of the night and killed. African Americans had to be raped in order to be treated a certain way, they were sexually assaulted just because they were black. African Americans were treated daily, if they ever tried to read, or if they knew how to read they were put to death. When the civil rights movement started African Americans were constantly threatened by public humiliation, and to be lynched. They couldn’t vote unless the guessed the number of jelly beans in a jar, how dumb does that sound. The civil rights movement saved lots of African American and Caucasians lives, and some people sacrificed their lives for this one cause. Once the civil rights passed as a law, African Americans had more opportunities, such as going to school with caucasians, having a better education, and the future. There were no more blacks drink in the same water fountain as the dogs. No more sitting in the balcony at movies, no more going around back to eat food, no more being segregated at concerts, and no more books with ink, and stains over each page. African Americans were pursuing a dream, that would help African Americans in the future. Life was equal for all, but today there is still slavery, murderers of African Americans for the wrong reasons, African Americans killing each other. Schools were integrated and the African American children that went to these only white schooles were terrorized daily, spit on, and cursed at, but to graduate was like a dream to them so they pushed their way threw. The civil rights movement is and was a blessing to all. The Civil rights right movement had causes and effects, Though some were bad, and some were good. In years everything would be just fine. African Americans could marry caucasian without any problems. African Americans and Caucasians would go to school together. Before this came about African Americans and also Caucasians for helping them, we’re dying for incoherent reasons. People died to see their people free.
