Britain's healthy neglect politics, which unofficially forgave the colonists' self-administration, fueled the independence movement. Patriots pursued official recognition of the agenda by democracy during the Revolutionary War.The Patriot uprising was based auf the republicanist political ideology, which meant that monarchy and aristocrats were rejected and democratic morality was emphasised.Others were alienated by Early Patriots, using intimidation against taxpayers and pushing others to assert their stance in war. While not all colonists backed violent rebellion, history estimates that 45% of colonists joined the rebellion
