In this scenario how does the Bill of Rights protect you from government intrusion? Scenario: You have just celebrated your 18th birthday and have just left the party. A friend has given you a ride home. Your friend makes the turn onto your street when you are pulled over by an Avondale Police Officer. You do not believe that you have done anything illegal and do not know why the police officer pulled you over, considering you are the passenger. The driver follows the law and gives the officer their driver’s license, proof of insurance, and vehicle registration. The officer asks for your identification, but you have lost it and cannot find it. After a few minutes the police officer orders you to get out of the car. The officer handcuffs you and makes you sit on the sidewalk. The officer then proceeds to ask you a lot of questions about why you are out so late, where you are going, and what you did that day?
