How can you know if this equation is true?

1/3+1/5=2/8=14

a. this equation must be true because when you add fractions the sum is always less than 13.

b. because 1/5< 1/3, this equation must be true.

c. because 1+1=2 and 3+5=8, this equation must be true.

d. because 1/4< 1/3, this equation cannot be true.
