Slope intercept form is y = mx + b

The only variables we need to figure out are m and b.

M is the slope, or rise/run. In other words, how much the line rises and then shifts right (runs). Beginning at (-6, -3), the line rises 1 and runs 3 to get to (-3, -2). So m is 1/3 (rise/run). Because the line is moving upwards, the slope is positive.

B is the y-intercept, which is the vertical part of the graph. In this case, b is -1 on the vertical axis.

The answer is y = 1/3x - 1
