Consider the function f(x)=2^x. A horizontal asymptote is a horizontal line that the graph of a function approaches but never touches. Horizontal lines on a graph are given by the equation y=constant value. So y=0 is the horizontal line on the x axis, y=1 is the horizontal line where y=1...etc . Using -x values as your inputs, see what output value the function approaches as your input values get smaller and smaller. Use x=-5, x=-10, x=-20 ,...etc. as your inputs and see what value the output approaches but never reaches. This will be the asymptote for the graph of f(x)=2^x.

For your answer please state the output value that you approach but never touch.
