How do i do square roots by the scientific notation divided and multiplied

In scientific notation numbers are written in the form x×10n , where n is an integer and x is in limits [1,10) i.e. 1≤x<10 . (b) if n is odd, mutiply x by 10 and reduce n by 1 to make it even and then take square root of each and multiply them.
