A slice is made perpendicular to the base of a right rectangular pyramid through the vertex. What is the area of the resulting two-dimensional cross section?

Enter you answer in the box.

cm²

The figure is a square pyramid. Two sides of the square base are labeled 15 centimeters. A plane intersects the pyramid through the pyramids vertex and base. The plane is perpendicular to the pyramids base. A shaded triangle appears in the interior of the pyramid and lies on the intersecting plane. The height of this triangle is labeled 34 centimeters and is equal to the height of the pyramid. The base of the triangle is equal to the side length of the pyramids square base.
