Instructions Answer the two questions below by using mathematical thinking and strategies pertaining to the concept of volume and numerical operations.

Robert has 1,445 cubic centimeters of trading cards, and his friend Thomas has 1,435 cubic centimeters of trading cards. The boys each want to put their trading into a box to keep them safe. Each boy has a box with the dimensions of the rectangular prism shown below:

Question #1
Which one of the two boys will be able to fit all of their trading cards into the box better? Use mathematical thinking to prove your answer.
Thomas because he has less cubic centimeters than Robert and if Robert has more than thomas it’s obvious he thomas will have a better time trying to fit his cards in but if Robert had less Robert would be able to fit the cards in better.

Question #2
How much extra space will Thomas have left in the box after he puts all his trading cards inside? Use mathematical thinking to prove your answer.
