I'm not understanding ratios and i need with the meaning of this.

What are Ratio's? 

Ratios are relationships of numbers. They compare two different numbers. They tell how much of one object there is compared to another object. 

For example there are 5 red balls and 3 blue balls. 
The ratio for balls would be 5:3
5=red
3=blue

When understanding ratios, we need to know that it compares two quantities.

Remember this:- A ratio does NOT include units. It only compares two quantities.

Three ways to write a ratio:-

3/5      3:5       3 to 5

Example:- The ratio of boys to girls is 4 to 6.

Write a ratio.

4:6 or 4/6 or 4 to 6.
