If the sides of the two triangles are proportional, then they are similar. You only need two sides to tell if they are similar. The sides of the smaller triangle are 30 and 3. The sides of the bigger triangle are 40 and 4 because you have to add the two segments. Set up a proportion. 30/3=40/4. Cross multiply. 30 x 4=120. 3 x 40 =120. Since these are equal, they are similar. A similarity statement would be triangle OKJ is congruent to triangle ONM.
