Imagine you have a can with a radius of 10 cm and a height of 20 cm filled to its brim with water. A distance of 8 cm from the bottom of the can there is a small hole with a radius of 0.2 mm in the side of the can.
Calculate the velocity of the water coming out of the hole.
Hints:
1. Write down Bernoulli's equation to relate the water at the top of the can to the water coming out of the hole.
2. Note that the top of the can, the water is in direct contact with the air. So the pressure there is also Р0.
