How well do the use of nuts bolts and washers work in creating models to represent elements compounds and mixtures are there drawbacks?

One nut represents an atom and a single bolt represents an atom you put atoms together to create compounds a molecule is created when two or more atoms join together chemically a compound is a molecule that contains at least two different elements. a drawback could be that u can see both individual pieces where in certain mixture and compounds u can’t see both components
