Two beginning ice skaters collide into each other. They were both moving in the same direction initially but the first skater (with a mass of 65 kg) was moving at 2.4 m/s and the other (with a mass of 84 kg) was moving at 5.6 m/s. The faster skater catches up to the slower one and they have an inelastic collision, moving together at the same velocity afterward. What is this velocity? (Round your answer to the nearest tenth.)
