Amazingly, gravity is Nature's weakest force among the four known forces. If the objects are very "light" (little mass), we do not even feel the attraction they make to each other, even though it exists. But when one (or both) has too much matter (mass), the force can already be perceived. This is the case of the weight of objects, which is the force that the earth makes on them. So weight is the result of gravity when one of the objects is the earth (or another celestial body if you are on it).

Based on this an experiment was made in the laboratory to study gravity. Two not very large objects were placed next to each other and the force of gravity was measured. This was only possible because the instruments were very sensitive. A mathematical formula was found that serves to calculate the value of the gravitational force between two objects when we know their masses and the distance between them. In this case, mass and distance are the two variables that affect the gravitational force between objects.
