What do you mean by decentralization

Decentralization—the transfer of authority and responsibility for public functions from the central government to subordinate or quasi-independent government organizations and/or the private sector—is a complex multifaceted concept.

The process in which the powe or authority present in the hand of the state and central govt. is taken back and is allocated to the local govt.

In this mechanism the authoritative nature of people with power is eradicated and power and handed over to suitable person who can make good use of those power for human welfare and in turn will pave way for development of their nation
