Unable to afford the rent on your apartment, you are forced to move back home. It's been three months and you forgot to tell the landlord that you have moved out. The landlord thinks you are three months behind in your rent and sends you an eviction notice, which is forwarded to your home.

Since you've already moved out, should you care about the eviction notice?

No, I didn't leave anything in the apartment, and I live in another state. So, who cares?
Yes, I'm going to be charged lots of penalties and my credit will probably be ruined. And they can still collect from me, even if I'm in another state!
