In a baseball league, the worst-performing teams get the opportunity to select the best shortstops coming out of college during the draft. A journal collected data for all 288 shortstops drafted in the past 40 years as part of a study. Several variables were measured for each shortstop, including forty dash yard dash speed, college attended, and production score (higher scores indicate more productive shortstops).
