Conflict is a major theme in Romeo and Juliet.  There are many conflicts between various characters. They can be classified in one of the four types: Man vs. Man, Man vs. Society, Man vs. Nature, or Man vs. Self.

For Romeo, as one of the main characters, here are two examples of conflict. Friar Lawrence wrote an important letter to Romeo. Due to the plague, Romeo never received it.
