Analyze the extent to which western expansion affected the lives of Native Americans during the period 1860– 90 and evaluate the role of the federal government in those effects.

Westward expansion was a firm belief among Americans which is also referred to Manifest destiny. The impact of these movements to west over Native Americans was quite high and full of bloodshed. Unfortunately, the Fed also encouraged settlers to move west with their schemes and laws.

Moving to west and impact on Native Americans lives: At first, Native Americans had to leave their homes as they were being invaded.
