Along, straight wire carries a current of 1a. a square loop of wire has a cross-sectional area of 10cm^2.
(a) what is the maximum possible magnetic flux through the wire loop due to the current-carrying wire if no edge of the loop is allowed to be less than 1cm from the wire? how should the loop be positioned to obtain this maximum flux?
(b) what is the minimum flux through the loop? how should the loop be positioned to obtain this minimum flux?
(c) what if instead of a loop of wire we had a closed box. what maximum flux could we have for the box, and how would the box be positioned for this maximum flux?
